Expressive Energy

Theoretical Background

(Also see L.E.P. Theoretical Background)

During the 1980's - 1990's Sabetti developed expression-oriented forms of therapy and consulting generally called Expressive Energy to foster creative potential. Natural activities such as dancing, acting, singing, being seen and heard are in Expressive Energy employed as means of honest self-investigation.

These expressive forms help us discover and make internal movements visible. Expressive Energy may also contribute to self-awareness, working off old behavioral patterns and actions, experiencing new possibilities for development and integrating this into everyday life as growing capability for expressing oneself.

These forms are dance (Dansergia®), theatre (Il Teatro Energetico®), voice (VociaSM), musical instruments (MusiciaSM) and visual art (ArtraSM). These different forms of expression may supplement each other. The form by itself (movement, voice, painting etc.) is never the matter, but the meaningful process towards the most complete self- expression possible. In time this enables each of us to go beyond our own limitations and to experience ourselves as a conscious/feeling/ expressive whole.
